Embroidery / Tailoring & Knitting
This year also the organization has performed 6 (six) month Vocational Training programme on Embroidery, Tailoring & Knitting from 12th April to 13th Oct 2011. In this training programme 121 females and 36 male who belong to below property line are participated. The trainees of the Council produced various kinds of Embroidery, Tailoring & Knitting garments. These production are marketed with marginal price with these production the Council is able to earn a small income. Rather then the training products the Council earned a good income from this kind of Handloom and Handcraft Sectors.
Computer / Typing Training :
The CDPL has organized 3(three) Months Certificate Course in Office Autonomous and Internet, 6 (six) Months Certificate in Computer Operation and Application (CCOA), CCA, Certificate in Web Technology (SWT), Certificatein Multimedia and Animation Designing , C++, Certificate Course in Application Software(CAS) and 1(one) years course i.e. PGDCA, DCPA, HDCA, DCTT under affiliation to AISCET Bhopal, in the name of Bhagerat Institution and Information and Technology (BIIT), Singjamei Chingmakhong, Traffic Point Imphal. In this different courses 330 nos of Student are participated.
Free Coaching Programme for Minority Students
As continued from the past years, this year the Council for Development of Poor and Labourers (CDPL), Lilong has also conducted 3(three) Batch Free Coaching programme for Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering for 3 (three) months for the Students belonging to ST/SC and Other Backward class student and Minority Communities of the state of Manipur commencing from 1st April to 30th June 2011 for 1st Batch, 1st July to 30th Sept. for 2nd Batch and 1st October to 30th December 2011 for the 3rd Batch. For this purpose, the organization has widely notified in the daily Local News Paper. In a Batch 100 nos of student are Coached for 3 Batch i.e 300 student are coached in this year.
Craft Training Centre :
The Council organized 6 (six) month Craft Training Center ( Cane & Bamboo) at Lilong Bazar from 10th June to 10th Nov. 2011. In this programme 56 youths including 20 females who are belonging to below poverty line are participated. The craft products are sale at the Market and earn their own livelihood.
Special School for Disable person.
The Council for Development of Poor and Labourers (CDPL) has been continued the Special School for Disable Persons / Students at Langthabal P.O. Lilong in the name of � Brother Physically Handicapped School�. In this year 100 nos of Students are learned from different area of Manipur and 15 trained teacher are serving.
Vocational Training for Disable Persons
The Vocational Training programme for Disable Persons was started in the year 2006 and till then this programme has been continued. In this year also the council has organized vocational training for disable persons from 15th September 2011 to 14th March 2012. In this training programme 100 nos of disable persons are participated in different trade. i.e Embroidery, Tailoring, Wool Kitting, Carpentry etc.
Residential School for Schedule Caste and Other Students
The CDPL, Lilong has been running a Residential School for Schedule Caste Students at Khurkhul, Imphal West District, Manipur in the name of the �Chongtham Kona Primary School�. In this year 100 nos of Schedule Caste Students are teaching in Free of Course
Food Preservation Training Programme
The Council has arranged the fermentation of dry fish i.e. �Ngari� in Manipuri. The 10th January 2012 the Council has conducted a training programme for making � Ngari� at Singjamei, Imphal West District, Manipur. In this training programme 20 nos of trainee are participated.
Drug Abuse & Intervention programme
The Council for Development of Poor and Labourers (CDPL) Lilong Imphal Manipur has organized one day Anti Drug Campaign on the 18th Sept 2011 with the participation of 300 youths. In this training programme Dr. Dhanabir Laishram Social Worker and K. Sham Singh, Social Worker, has deliver their valuable Speech about the Drug Abuse and Healthy Society.
Destitute Home
The Council already open a Destitute Home for Children and Women in affected HIV/AIDS, Communal riot Victims and Orphan Children at Lilong Chajing Awang leikai, P.O. Lilong Imphal West District, Manipur. In this home, there are 35 children and 20 women are staying. All the Children are going to school and women are working in different work place and earn little money for self management
Environment Awareness programme
The Orgasniation has Observed the World Environment Day on of 5th June 2011 at Lilong Hr. Secondary School, Lilong. In this function Dr. Th. Sobita Devi, Lecturer and O. Opendro Singh, Social worker is as Resource Person. In this Programme 140 nos of student are participated. (.
